Official advisory
Checking your LTO plate, license, or CR status is always free through official channels. Nobody legitimately charges a fee to "unlock," "expedite," or "verify" a result, and nobody legitimately needs your full LTMS password to perform a status check.
Independence Disclosure
LTO Tracker is an independent website. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by, or officially connected in any way to the Land Transportation Office (LTO), the Department of Transportation (DOTr), or any other Philippine government agency. Any resemblance in name or subject matter reflects the informational nature of this site, not an official relationship. All official transactions, appointments, and account-based services must be conducted through LTO's own LTMS portal or in person at an LTO office.
How to Spot a Fraudulent Tracker or Fixer
- Any request for payment to reveal, expedite, or confirm a plate, license, or CR status is not part of the legitimate process.
- Any request for your full LTMS username and password, rather than just a plate, MV File, or license number, is not necessary for a public status check and should never be provided to a third-party site.
- Guaranteed "faster" processing offered by an individual or unofficial page in exchange for a fee is not a real LTO service. Plate and license production timelines are not something any outside party can influence.
- Pressure tactics, such as claiming your registration will be cancelled unless you pay immediately, are a common fraud pattern and not how LTO communicates with motorists.
Where to Report Fraud
If you encounter a site, page, or individual charging for a free LTO lookup, impersonating an LTO office, or requesting your LTMS credentials, report it through these official channels:
- LTO-NCR directly. Report the incident to the LTO-NCR office indicated in your own registration record, or through LTO's official social media channels and hotline listed on the official LTO-NCR portal.
- NBI Cybercrime Division. For online scams, fake payment requests, or credential phishing conducted through a website or social media page, the National Bureau of Investigation's Cybercrime Division is the appropriate law enforcement channel.
- PNP Anti-Cybercrime Group (PNP-ACG). The Philippine National Police's Anti-Cybercrime Group also accepts reports of online fraud, including fake government-service sites and phishing attempts.
Official Sources
For authoritative, current information beyond what this site provides, always defer to:
- LTO-NCR official portal, the source LTO Tracker relays live queries to.
- LTMS portal, LTO's official nationwide platform for registration and account-based transactions.
